MicroPoly-filled bearings do have speed limitations. The following formula and chart determine the maximum allowable speed for a MicroPoly-filled bearing running at room temperature.
Maximum RPM =         NDM Value
1/2 (Bore + O.D.)               Note: Bore and O.D. must be in mm.
Limiting Speeds:
Bearing Type

NDM Value

Single row ball bearing, metal cage 300,000
Single row ball bearing, plastic cage 40,000
Double row ball bearing 150,000
Angular contact ball bearing 150,000
Self-aligning ball bearing 150,000
Cylindrical roller bearing 150,000
Spherical roller bearing 85,000
Tapered roller and roller thrust bearings

Note: For double tapered roller bearings, calculate the maximum RPM for a single tapered roller bearing and divide by two.

45,000

These values are based on normal ambient operating temperatures. As operating temperatures increase, the maximum operating speed may have to be decreased.

The values reflected in the table above may be affected by the quality of the bearings used. High quality bearings generally outperform lower quality bearings.
